The RS200 is the one worth importing

It has the 3S-GE BEAMS engine and a six-speed manual. The six-cylinder cars sold in America were a different, softer proposition, and the automatic Altezzas are not what anybody is looking for here.

Check the gearbox and the clutch

The six-speed is the car’s selling point and a tired one is a real expense. Neither shows on an auction sheet, which is a good reason to have the car inspected at the USS house before bidding.

Modified is the norm

These were cheap performance saloons in Japan for years. Standard suspension, standard exhaust and an unmarked sheet are worth paying a premium for.
