Turbo or naturally aspirated changes everything
A JZA80 RZ with the twin-turbo 2JZ-GTE and a six-speed is a different market from an SZ with the naturally aspirated 2JZ-GE. The price gap is large, the cars look the same, and the specification on the sheet is what settles it.
The MA70 has a known weakness
The earlier MA70’s 7M-GTE is famous for head gasket failure caused by under-torqued head bolts from the factory. Many have been fixed properly and plenty have not, and there is no way to test it from here — price the car as though the job is still to do unless there is documentation.
These are watched cars now
Supra prices have risen enough that condition and originality are scrutinised closely. An unmolested car with a clean sheet and a verified odometer is worth the premium; a cheap modified one rarely turns into the former.
